We advise that the following Terms and Conditions should be read carefully before purchasing items from this Site.

Returns Policy sales@britishdesignshop.com (The customer service department operates Mon-Fri 9:30am - 5:00).

You are entitled to a 14-day free trial period from the date of delivery. If you are not fully satisfied, you may return the goods to us as new (please use all the original product packaging materials) for a full refund to the value of the goods. Please note that we will not refund delivery charges if the goods are unsuitable.

Special Orders - where goods are specially ordered in for you, they cannot be returned unless they are faulty in some way. In some circumstances we may at our discretion agree that the goods can be returned for an administration charge of from 25% of the value of the goods.

If the returned goods are in any way damaged, but we believe that we can sell the damaged item as a 'second' online, we will offer a partial refund. We would strongly recommend that when you are returning goods you use a trackable courier. This means that if they are lost in transit to us, you will have recourse to the transporter you have used. This does not affect your statutory rights. Goods damaged during transit to you can be replaced without charge to you but it is imperative that you advise us immediately or at the latest within 24 hours. If a box looks damaged do not sign for the goods without checking the product. If the product is damaged you may refuse to accept it. If the driver is in a real hurry you can sign for the goods but write clearly on the slip that the goods have not been checked. If once opening the package the goods are damaged, please phone us immediately. We can then arrange to send you a replacement and lodge a claim with the carrier. When this happens the carrier will usually collect the damaged item while simultaneously delivering the replacement. Goods rarely arrive damaged but speedy action helps all parties to sort the problem out without delay. Your co-operation in this way would be greatly appreciated.

Sale Goods are non returnable, but this does not affect your statuory rights.

Product Information

When ordering please check the dimensions of the product as photographic images can be deceptive. Measurements have been provided with each individual item where appropriate. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error in pricing, we reserve the right to change the price when necessary and refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item, even when the order has been confirmed and your credit/debit card charged. If your credit/debit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall issue a credit to your card account.

Every care has been taken to ensure description and specifications are correct. In some circumstances products may vary slightly due to their manufacturing processes. Please note that any colours shown are to be considered an approximation and may vary to the individual item.
