Windsor chairs were rarely made as rockers originally in the eighteenth century. Most rockers were added during the first part of the nineteenth century when the rockers became fashionable. In the earlydays, rockers were often converted from original windsor chairs to serve a new purpose. Designer David Green has used his expertise in traditional chair making to develop a successful collection of contemporary Windsor chairs. The Leamington Rocker is hand crafted in sustainably sourced solid hardwood using traditional materials and techniques adapted to 21st century standards of design and quality.
The Leamington Rocker, inspired by tradition is still hand made in the Heart of England using the same craftsmanship, but with a modern design twist.
